~Goal~
Our goal is to offer homeschooling families a
unique complement to their home study programs with an emphasis
on a classical Christian model of education. Veritas Classical Schools
functions in the role of tutor, partnering with parents in their
educational responsibilities as students attend Veritas classes one or
two days per week based upon their
age.
~Purpose~
The purpose of Veritas Classical Schools is to help mold students into
thinkers, who analyze, critique, and affect the world by applying Biblical wisdom
to their lives, families, and communities. It is our goal that Veritas students
learn to THINK, biblically and logically, not just to blindly memorize seemingly
unrelated and irrelevant facts required to do "well" on tests. The Veritas student
is taught to be a lifelong learner, to consistently evaluate and critique relevant
issues, and to always seek to skillfully communicate his thoughts. All students at
Veritas Schools learn factual and philosophical truth, learn to evaluate
the messages they are receiving from the world around them, and learn to defend their
beliefs in a persuasive manner.
